The Houston Drone

Concern

About

Daniel De Los Santos created The Houston Drone Concern in November of 2006 and it is his main solo project.   The project's emphasis is on drone influenced compositions.

Daniel has been active in the underground music scene since 1999 when he co-created Mad Monkey Records (RIP).   Mad Monkey Records released projects by Dead Hollywood Stars, Neutral, Lusine and ENE (among others).   Shortly after the creation of Mad Monkey, Daniel became involved in two musical projects: Army of the 23 Monkeys (A023M) and Tamarin.

A023M (a collaborative project) released one ep, appeared on compilations and produced several remixes. Tamarin (Daniel's other solo project) has released three albums, appeared on compilations and produced remixes. Tamarin is mostly known for the Merzbow vs.Tamarin CD.

Eventually, Daniel joined John Sellekaers and Mathias Delplanque to form The Missing Ensemble.   The Missing Ensemble (so far) has released two CDs.
