In early 2003 we quietly closed Mad Monkey and Circumvent --- our last release was Neutral - Caller ID. There are many reasons for this but suffice to say it was a combination of factors --- it wasn't just economics. We had a lot of fun and we have no regrets. This change also affects our personal musical projects. Army of the 23 Monkeys is (un)officially over and Tamarin is semi-retired (there are still some items in the wings waiting to be released).

But every end has a beginning (or something like that). You will notice that the mmr and the circumvent websites now re-direct to a new label called plan dx17. Plan DX17 is my new venture and follows a different path than the previous labels. We specialize in very limited art editions and will probably produce no more than two releases a year. Our first release is by Merzbow and it is available now. It is limited to 350 copies and it is packaged in a unique manner. If you want more info please visit http://www.plan-dx17.com Lastly, I want to thank everyone for their support over the years. It meant a lot to us. Take care.

The archived Circumvent site is here.
